Northsuite

Miraculous horizon frays to elegant grey nothingness in an act of faith. We thawed in luxury, indulged and devastated. The chasm between habit, impulsions, and the anesthetic of desire. Untidily. Emblems of other moments, inevitable marvelling in the blurry lavender morning skies, bouquets of pale planets, impossibly quiet. What ineluctable bliss warming in the core of me, morning languidities after laureling brilliance thickening in the veins, intuitive silence under endless waves of moonlight.

General information

Claimed to be a compilation comprising both the “Chapelflames (Red Steeples)” demo from 2004 and the “Music For Falling Buildings” demo from 2003, Northsuite was in fact written and recorded after Genevieve, in May-June 2005.

Ivory Snowfish Music

CDr

Originally, Northsuite was released in 2005 via the band’s own Ivory Snowfish Music imprint, and limited to 100 CD-Rs. This version credits “E.C.” or Edward Cunningham with writing and performing on the third track, and Dorothy Montoure is credited with mixing, at a facility called Winternational - all of these credits are fictional. The layout and back cover photograph of “LVG” are attributed to Donna Darkette, a reference to a personal friend of the band, but they were not involved either. This version only has 6 tracks, which further disproves the claim that this release comprises two demos. Text on the CD spine reads: “We are so perfect in this dream”
